We asked kids to tell us the story of Jesus healing a man on the Sabbath in their own words. In this story, Jesus and His Apostles were walking along when they saw a crippled man sitting by a pool of water where others were washing themselves. The man wished he could get into the pool too, but he couldn’t move. Jesus said to the man, “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” Immediately, the man was healed and he was able to walk. Some of the people around said Jesus had broken the Sabbath by healing the man on that day, but Jesus taught that there is never a wrong time or day to help those in need. How do you like to spend Sundays?
