The Parable of the Sower
13 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

ಪರಲೋಕರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳು

1ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡನು. 2ಬಹಳ ಜನರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ದೋಣಿ ಹತ್ತಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡನು. ಆ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. 3ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮ್ಯರೂಪವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಹೇಗಂದರೆ -
4ಕೇಳಿರಿ! ಬಿತ್ತುವವನು ಬಿತ್ತುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟನು. ಅವನು ಬಿತ್ತುವಾಗ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜ ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು; ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟವು. 5ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜ ಬಹಳ ಮಣ್ಣಿಲ್ಲದ ಬಂಡೆಯ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಣ್ಣು ತೆಳ್ಳಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವು ಬೇಗ ಮೊಳೆತವು; 6ಆದರೆ ಬಿಸಿಲೇರಿದಾಗ ಬಾಡಿ ಬೇರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಒಣಗಿಹೋದವು. 7ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜ ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು; ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳು ಬೆಳೆದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟವು. 8ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಒಂದು ನೂರರಷ್ಟು, ಒಂದು ಅರುವತ್ತರಷ್ಟು, ಒಂದು ಮೂವತ್ತರಷ್ಟು ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವು. 9ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

1ఆ దినమందు యేసు ఇంటనుండి వెళ్లి సముద్ర తీరమున కూర్చుండెను. 2బహుజనసమూహములు తన యొద్దకు కూడివచ్చినందున ఆయన దోనెయెక్కి కూర్చుండెను. ఆ జనులందరు దరిని నిలిచియుండగా 3ఆయన వారిని చూచి చాల సంగతులను ఉపమాన రీతిగా చెప్పెను. ఎట్లనగా – ఇదిగో విత్తువాడు విత్తుటకు బయలు వెళ్లెను. 4వాడు విత్తుచుండగా కొన్ని విత్తనములు త్రోవప్రక్కను పడెను; పక్షులు వచ్చివాటిని మ్రింగివేసెను 5కొన్ని చాల మన్నులేని రాతినేలను పడెను; అక్కడ మన్ను లోతుగా ఉండనందున అవి వెంటనే మొలిచెను గాని 6సూర్యుడు ఉదయించినప్పుడు అవి మాడి వేరులేనందున ఎండిపోయెను. 7కొన్ని ముండ్లపొదలలో పడెను; ముండ్లపొదలు ఎదిగి వాటిని అణచివేసెను. 8కొన్ని మంచి నేలను పడి, ఒకటి నూరంతలుగాను, ఒకటి అరువదంతలుగాను, ఒకటి ముప్ప దంతలుగాను ఫలించెను. 9చెవులుగలవాడు వినునుగాక అని చెప్పెను.
