The Wise and Foolish Builders:

Jesus said:
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts
them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the
rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds
blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it
had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears
these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like
a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came
down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against
that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
- Matthew 7:24-27


ಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಮತ್ತು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು:
ಯೇಸು ಹೇಳಿದನು:
ಆದದರಿಂದ, ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ
ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಹೋಲುವನು. ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ
ಸುರಿಯಿತು; ಹಳ್ಳಗಳು ಬಂದವು; ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಡಿಯಿತು.
ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಬೀಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ನನ್ನ
ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಉಸುಬಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು
ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಹೋಲುವನು. ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯಿತು;
ಹಳ್ಳಗಳು ಬಂದವು; ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಅದು
ಧಡಮ್ಮನೆ ಕಡುಕೊಂಡು ಬಿತ್ತು.

బుద్ధిమంతుడు మరియు బుద్ధిహీనుడు:

యేసు చెప్పెను:
కాబట్టి యీ నా మాటలు విని వాటిచొప్పునచేయు ప్రతివాడును బండమీద తన యిల్లు
కట్టుకొనిన బుద్ధి మంతుని పోలియుండును. 25వాన కురిసెను, వరదలు వచ్చెను, గాలి
విసిరి ఆ యింటిమీద కొట్టెను గాని దాని పునాది బండమీద వేయబడెను గనుక అది
పడలేదు. 26మరియు యీ నా మాటలు విని వాటిచొప్పున చేయని ప్రతివాడు ఇసుకమీద
తన యిల్లు కట్టుకొనిన బుద్ధిహీనుని పోలియుండును. 27వాన కురిసెను, వరదలు
వచ్చెను, గాలి విసిరి ఆ యింటిమీద కొట్టెను, అప్పుడది కూల బడెను; దాని పాటు
గొప్పదని చెప్పెను.
