Take a moment to relax and look closely at works of art from Latter-day Saints around the world from the 12th International Art Competition: All Are Alike unto God. Here is video 1 of 5 on the theme “All Beggars.”

About the Artwork

“Aren’t We All Beggars?” by Christian Bolt (Switzerland).

Luke 7:37–48 tells the story of a sinner who approaches the Savior, wets His feet with her tears, and dries them with her hair. Christ forgives her. Bolt’s figure spirals around, showing the complete turn made possible through her repentance. The figure is unformed at the base and becomes more refined in the course of the rotation, showing the development available through Christ’s mercy and forgiveness.

"The fact that everyone needs forgiveness makes us all equal before God." — Christian Bolt
